Narrogin 15 July 2012

Once again the Gods looked down and allowed one of the best days racing we have had for a while. The track was super Frank, laid some water down on Saturday arvo and turned over the dirt with a quick water in the morning track prep could not have been better.

With the 250 event being the feature we saw freshly crowned Australian champ Rick Speak bring out the Bully and ring its neck and on the pace he needed to be as Darren White on an Honda, showed Rick how quick and shiny the rear of his bike is. All up the 47 riders must have had a great time and I was disappointed that I did not ride.

A grade had a reasonable field with Rick, Darren And Chris Lindgren dicing for position, all taking turns in reaching out for the bag of GOLD. All three having gremlin issues at some time. B grade riders were lead home by a group of malingerers Ian Brown with a new ignition must have gained a few extra pony’s and Mid pack Mike was chasing home both Ian and the pensioners friend on the CZ, Scott Lawson a new and yet another Lawson made his début on the ex-Dave Lawson / Graham Taylor Jeff Smith Approved BSA.

Scott and Dave have been needling each other in the lead up to Narrogin. Scott put in a good performance for his first on a bike in a few years. The ever erratic Derek on the Husky lead regularly, though the judges are out on if he should be in C on the bike Husky.

All up a beaut weekend and thanks to Sue, Andrew, Lew, Frank and the Flaggies, that kept their post in the shade with a brisk breeze from the south pole well done.

Thanks to all.
