WANDERING “PAYNES FIND” 26TH MAY 2024 – RECREATION DAY – THIS SUNDAY

Note the venue, Wandering “Paynes Find” not Darkan. Track location available on Google Maps or http://vmxwa.com/paynes-find-wandering/

This Sunday is the recreation day at our home track Wandering “Paynes Find” this Sunday the 26th May 2024 incorporating the Troy Anderson Memorial.
We are inviting the Classic MXWA and Vinduro WA clubs along to participate and intend to run Pre ’75, Pre ’85 (inclusive of Pre ’78 and Evolution), Pre ’95, Pre ’04 and Sidecar classes although this may change on the day depending on entries. Women can ride a modern bike in the Pre ’04 class and unfortunately we are unable to run an official Junior class. Please note that dust suppression may still be an issue on the day with our limited water supply so the format may have to be flexible throughout the day and you may need to ride to the conditions although the team will be working hard to keep the dust down with what we have available.

We require a couple of volunteers for flag marshal and start line duties for the day. If you can assist or can bring someone with you to assist on the day, please text Dave Lawson on 0494105061 or email lawsondavid62@gmail.com.

Schedule for Sunday 26th May is as follows

-Sign on 0800-0845
-Riders briefing 0900
-On track after briefing

Cost to ride is $30 and one event recreational licences will be available on the day for $45. One event licences are also available on ridernet (www.ridernet.com.au) leading up to the event at a cost of $33. For those that need assistance with purchasing one event licences on ridernet a guide is on the website https://www.vmxwa.com/…/Applying-for-one-event-licence.pdf however please feel free to contact Robert (0429409590) and he’ll walk you through the process, one event licences are cheaper purchased online through ridernet and speed up the sign on process. This event will be in ridernet under VMXWA and is a recreation day so select Recreation licence and then one event recreational.

Please make sure you bring the correct cash with you for the weekend as there are no eftpos facilities.

Camping Saturday night is encouraged and the club BBQ is available for cooking. No individual camp fires please, the communal fire will be available near the club containers.
The Wandering Tavern is only 10km from the track and is open Saturday night for meals and makes an ideal Saturday night meal opportunity.
We currently have VMXWA caps $25 and Beanies $20 for sale and will be available at the track on Sunday.
We look forward to seeing everyone there this weekend.
