Vale: Geoff Davison

A message from Geoffs daughter Julie:

With the greatest sadness I would like to let everyone know that my dearest Dad Geoff Davison passed away on Tuesday morning (19/10/21). He was surrounded by family and friends as we said our goodbyes. Dad was a long time member of the VMX club and loved every minute. He forged lifelong friendships and we know many of you will share in our sadness and grief.
If you would like to come and share in the celebration of Dads life, his funeral service will be held on Saturday 30th September at 10.00am at Bowra & O’Dea, 312 South Street, Hilton.
Dad wasn’t a fan of formality so please feel free to wear colours or even better your Moto X jerseys.
We ask that you respect Mums privacy at this time. Thank you for being such a big part of Dads life.
Julie

Ron Tyers Memorial – Lightweight MCC Byford 24th October 2021

Updated 19/10/21
After having to earlier in the year postpone this event due to weather, the Lightweight Motorcycle Club in conjunction with the Vintage Motocross Club of WA are proud to host the Ron Tyers Memorial at Hendley Park, Byford on 24 October.
Ride fee is $30. One event recreation licence is $35. For those who have never held a licence before can take out a 90 day “trial” licence at no cost.
Classes on the day will be MX1 and MX2 and Vets for the Lightweight guys and as usual for VMX fast and faster along with sidecars. If you are really keen and have a modern bike and feel like an extra ride you can bring it along too.
Sign on from 7.00 spirited riding from 8.00. Breakfast will be available in the morning along with a coffee van and sausage sizzle all day, so please support these. The bar will also be open.
To help out with the running of the day we will need 4 flaggies so if you aren’t able to ride but would still like to pay respect to the motorcycling life of Ron Tyers get along and get up close by flagging. See you on the 24th, an event not to be missed!!
